BERLIN TRAVEL DIARY

I've read so many interesting travel diaries on other peoples' blogs and I really wanted to make one for my recent trip to Berlin in March. I've never been to Germany before so I didn't really know what to expect but Berlin completely exceeded all of my expectations.

From the Brandenburg Gate, to the Soviet War Memorial to the East Side Gallery...we saw them all! Despite the significant lack of blue skies and sunshine to brighten up our days, I really enjoyed experiencing all that Berlin had to offer and would love to return again one day!

If you're suffering from a hopeless case of wanderlust right now and are desperately trying to plan trips away for the summer (because I know I am), I would definitely recommend a trip to Berlin along your travels!

East Side Gallery- a personal favourite of mine!

East Side Gallery- I love the illusion of this wall art!

Visiting the longest stretch of the wall which still remains and peering through to no-man's land-chilling!
Examining the Nazi architecture at the Olympic Stadium

Visiting the Commonwealth War Graves

The Soviets sure know how to do war memorials! Completely overwhelming

Inside the Reichstag!

East and West....and an impressive collection of gum...

A sobering reminder of Berlin's history

    1. Thank you! It's such a politicised space! I love how street art is used to express their political views x
